Question by Sheriff Joe: Why is it legal for Sanctuary Cities to make laws demanding cops NOT cooperate with immigration authorities?
Why isn’t there an uproar and threats of legal challenges when ultra left wing cities make it illegal for their cops to check even the most violent offenders for immigration status?

Right now, only Arizona will demand to check for immigration status in the course of arrest. But when cities pass “don’t ask, don’t tell” sanctuary laws that literally threaten a police officer’s job if he checks immigration status, why isn’t there a similar uproar?

Why is it legal to pass laws demanding that we don’t enforce our laws, but controversial to pass laws that demand that we do enforce them?

Isn’t something a bit strange here?
